broken-gurl's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- all the dreams you never thought you'd lose, tossed along the way So my meeting at Ledger was today. The one I've been dreading, like forever. And it went really well. Dr. Firstbrook said right off that she knew how horrible I was in meetings and how I was bad at talking and stuff, but good at listening and taking stuff in so it was mostly others talking and me confirming what they said. It was relieving. My workers will be Cindy & Dale, which seems to be good. I hardly know them though, so we'll see how things go. One difficult thing - I am not allowed to cut at all during the whole six week stay. SIX WEEKS. I have never gone that long before. And since I've already gone a week, that will make seven weeks. That's a long freaking time. If I cut, overdose, burn, walk into traffic, do any self harm behaviors, and get found out, I will be kicked out of the program, and I really can't get kicked out. I need this opportunity more than anything. They are going to let me be self-directed in what I want to do, so if I want to play soccer I can. If I want to go to yoga I can. If I want to go to my school I can. It's pretty good, because everybody else there is on a really strict rule routine apparently, and I don't even have to participate in group "therapy" if I don't want to, as it is apparently geared towards younger crowds and I may find it too tedious. We'll see how it goes though. Today I went driving. I drove from the parking lot (the FULL parking lot) at Ledger, all the way home down McKenzie and Quadra right at 3:00 heavy traffic time. It was great, I didn't stall it once or hit anything or really screw up. I only forgot to signal once but that was like RIGHT at Beckwith and we were almost home. Oopsies. So yeah, long weekend will be good. I have to go to a dinner thing up in Courtenay on Sunday but other than that just some serious vegetating.
